Studying at the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Vitez has been one of the most important and inspiring experiences in my academic and professional life. The academic programme is designed to keep pace with the latest developments in information technology, providing not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills that are highly valued in today’s job market. Each course within the programme is carefully structured to ensure the development of key competencies required for a successful career in the IT sector. The professors are exceptionally knowledgeable and dedicated to their work, while their openness to dialogue and willingness to help at any time make the learning process even more rewarding. I particularly appreciate their ability to connect theory with practice, encouraging students to think critically and apply what they have learned in real-world situations. Their lectures are not merely a transfer of knowledge but also a source of inspiration for further research, learning, and professional development. In addition, the Faculty of Information Technology stands out for its excellent infrastructure, well-equipped library, and access to modern digital tools that support the learning process. I would especially highlight the opportunities to participate in various projects and research activities that provide valuable hands-on experience. All these elements, combined with the support and motivation I received from professors and fellow students, have strengthened my confidence and prepared me for my professional career. I highly recommend this Faculty to anyone who aspires to become a leading professional in the field of information technology and is looking for an environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Entrepreneurial Management at the Faculty of Business Economics and, immediately after graduation, enrolled in a Master’s programme. The Faculty of Business Economics offers a comprehensive approach to the key aspects of business, ranging from management, finance, and marketing to strategic decision-making, all of which are essential in today’s dynamic business environment. Studying at this Faculty is not merely an educational experience; it provides a solid foundation for future career success. I would recommend the Faculty of Business Economics to anyone with ambition, determination, and a desire for professional growth. The Faculty is highly dynamic and approachable. Students are not treated as numbers but as active members of a community where they gain practical knowledge and skills necessary for achieving their professional goals. My career path has not been linear, but the experiences I gained while working in various positions have helped me grow and progress. I have advanced from a sales associate to a branch manager, then into accounting, and now hold a position where I manage compensation processes for a company with seven branches and eight wholesale centres. Throughout my studies at the Faculty of Business Economics, I acquired knowledge that I apply daily in my work, including financial management, data analysis, marketing, management, negotiation skills, and business ethics. These competencies have enabled me to make informed and strategic decisions while contributing to the success of my organisation. I would recommend this Faculty to anyone who strives for more, is willing to learn, and is ready to invest in their personal and professional development.

Aldin Hodžić
My name is Aldin Hodžić. After graduating from the Secondary Medical School in Sarajevo with a specialization in Physiotherapy, I immediately began working at the Aquaterm Spa and Recreation Centre in Olovo. Following several years of professional experience in the field, I decided to further develop my knowledge and skills by enrolling in a part-time study programme at the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Vitez. Despite the demanding pace of balancing work and study, I successfully fulfilled all academic requirements while maintaining my full-time employment, and I am currently a third-year student. One of the main reasons I chose the University of Vitez was its flexibility and student-oriented approach. The University offers study options that can be adapted to individual needs, including part-time studies and distance learning opportunities. In addition, the educational concept is based on European standards in continuous assessment and evaluation, study organisation, teaching methodologies, and modern curricula. Throughout my studies, I have significantly expanded my knowledge through collaboration with professors and through the integration of theoretical and practical learning in various physiotherapy techniques, skills, and physical therapy procedures aimed at preserving, promoting, and restoring human body functionality. Upon graduation, I expect that the knowledge and qualifications I have gained will help me advance my career by opening doors to better and more challenging professional opportunities. I also hope to further develop my practice and support a larger number of patients through the application of modern physiotherapy techniques. In addition, obtaining my degree will provide greater professional security and create opportunities to participate in international projects, professional training programmes, and continuing education initiatives.

My name is Maida Muratović, and I am a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law, enrolled in the Security and Criminalistics study programme. Throughout my studies, I have achieved significant accomplishments that have contributed to my academic and professional development. One of the most important milestones in my educational journey has been serving as a student demonstrator in criminalistics courses under the mentorship of Professor Adnan Pirić, PhD. As a demonstrator, I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and assist fellow students in the field of criminalistics. This experience allowed me to strengthen and expand my understanding of the subject while developing many of the skills and competencies that teaching assistants and academic staff cultivate throughout their careers. Being selected as a demonstrator during my studies is an opportunity reserved for dedicated, hardworking, and disciplined students. For me, it was an invaluable experience that significantly contributed to my professional growth, personal development, and preparation for a future career in the field.

“I am a third-year student at the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Vitez. For many years, I have worked in the field of special education, which is why I chose to pursue studies in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. Enrolling in this programme represents an opportunity for quality education and professional development, allowing me to apply the knowledge I gain directly in practice, contribute to the development of children, and provide them with the support they need in their daily lives. My inspiration comes from my own experience working with children with developmental difficulties, where I witnessed firsthand the importance of dedicated and skilled professionals. I believe that the knowledge and skills I acquire during my studies will not only represent a professional achievement but also provide an opportunity to make a meaningful and positive contribution to society. My motivation for enrolling in the Information Technology programme was primarily to expand my practical experience with additional knowledge in areas that I had not explored extensively through my professional work. Since I am employed in the IT sector and have been passionate about information technology from an early age, choosing this field of study was a natural and logical decision for me. The diversity of the study programme, the different study options available, and the dedication of the professors, teaching assistants, and the entire University staff have made my academic experience both valuable and rewarding. For these reasons, I would confidently recommend the University of Vitez and the Faculty of Information Technology to all young people who are still deciding on their future educational path.

Maja Kapković, one of our proud alumni and a second-cycle (Master’s) student at the Faculty of Health Studies, shared her championship journey and experience of studying at the University of Vitez: “During my four years of study at the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Vitez, I experienced many wonderful moments and gained invaluable knowledge and experience. Every professor, teaching assistant, and administrative staff member dedicated themselves to helping us learn, encouraging us in our achievements, and supporting us even when we felt like giving up. They believed in us. As I mentioned, they stood by our side during the most challenging moments. I would especially like to acknowledge my teaching assistant, Ms. Tanja Bavrka, MSc in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, who has been an important part of my journey, a contributor to the success of our University, and an incredible source of support not only for me but for many other students as well. I am currently a fifth-year student in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at the University of Vitez and a member of the team at the Bauer Body Regeneration Centre in Zenica. In 2023, I participated in a massage competition for the first time, competing in the Student/Beginner category, where I won third place. Throughout the competition, I had the full support of my teaching assistant, Tanja. In April of the following year, I competed in a championship in Novi Sad, where I achieved first place. My greatest success, however, came at the World Massage Championship held in Greece. I competed in the Sports Massage category and was honoured to win first place. In addition, my colleagues representing Bosnia and Herzegovina's massage professionals also achieved outstanding results, earning another gold medal, a bronze medal, and a fourth-place finish in a highly competitive category. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff and faculty of my University, because none of these achievements would have been possible without their support.”

After completing my studies at the Faculty of Health Studies in Sarajevo, I took a break from further education. However, after attending a presentation of the Faculty of Business Economics at the University of Vitez, with a particular focus on the Healthcare Management programme, I became acquainted with the curriculum and study structure, which immediately appeared very promising. I contacted the University, received valuable information, and decided to visit the beautiful town of Travnik. After completing my studies in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at the Faculty of Health Studies, I decided to enrol in the Healthcare Management programme at the Faculty of Business Economics to expand my knowledge and create new opportunities for both myself and the institution in which I work. My studies in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy were an outstanding experience, without a single negative moment. I would highly recommend the programme to anyone, especially those who wish to continue their education through the bridge programme or, like me, decide to pursue further studies later in their professional career. For the past nineteen years, I have been employed at an institution providing social care and healthcare services. After many years of working as a physiotherapist, I realised the importance of my role in improving the quality of life of service users and felt motivated to further develop my professional competencies. Shortly after completing my undergraduate studies, I enrolled in the Master’s programme in Healthcare Management. I believe that the new qualifications and knowledge I have gained will enable me to take on greater responsibilities within healthcare institutions and support my continued professional growth. Studying at the Faculty of Business Economics proved to be an excellent choice. The programme was both challenging and highly practical. I was particularly interested in courses related to Human Resource Management, which ultimately inspired the topic of my final thesis under the mentorship of Professor Jamila Jaganjac, PhD. Her expertise, guidance, and support enabled me to fully understand the importance of effective human resource management and its impact on organisational success. I have already begun applying my newly acquired knowledge within the institution where I work and hope that my efforts will contribute to positive outcomes for both myself and the organisation. By investing in ourselves, we create long-term benefits for everyone around us.

The Faculty of Business Economics at the University of Vitez provided me with confidence, knowledge, and competencies that inspired me to continue my education and set even more ambitious goals for myself. I completed my summer internship at the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Customs Office Travnik. During my internship, I became familiar with customs clearance procedures and many concepts that I had previously studied only in theory. I had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the role and responsibilities of customs brokers, the procedures for approving guarantees and calculating excise duties, the differences between fees and taxes, and the application of VAT within the customs system. Through practical work, I gained insight into the entire customs clearance process, from administrative document processing to physical inspection of goods. During the internship, I was assigned to all three departments of the customs office – reception, document control, and physical inspection – which allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of customs procedures and operations. This internship provided me with valuable knowledge and practical experience that will be of great benefit in my further education and professional development.” Practical training and summer internships are an essential part of education at the University of Vitez. Through placements in institutions and companies, students have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world environments, become familiar with actual business processes, and gain valuable professional experience while still studying. This approach clearly demonstrates the importance of connecting theory with practice and ensures that students are well prepared for future professional challenges and career opportunities.

My story is proof that age is never an obstacle when you have a clear goal and the courage to start over. While many people in their later years avoid change, at the age of 46 I decided to take a decisive step and enroll in the Faculty of Business Economics at VITEZ University. I also experienced the true value of my studies through the University's cooperation with the Association of Accountants, Auditors and Financial Workers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The study program was so well aligned with professional standards that several key courses were recognized, making my path toward professional certification much easier. As the culmination of that effort and the support I received, I earned the title of Certified Accountant at the age of 50 and went on to establish and manage my own accounting agency. Today, I am proud to say that I run a successful business built on knowledge, precision, and responsibility - values that were instilled in me throughout my studies. For that reason, I recommend the Faculty of Business Economics at VITEZ University not only to young people who are just choosing their career path, but also to anyone who believes it is too late to make a career change. The Faculty of Business Economics at VITEZ University is a place where your age becomes an advantage, and where knowledge, supported by dedicated professors and mentors, provides a secure path to success.
